Richard Hodgson

Originally a painter, my chosen medium is woodcut.

To add to the obvious restrictions and challenges of this, my work is usually single, and occasionally two-block, multi-colour reduction prints.  This method tends to imitate painting, while at the same time having a uniquely printed look, with extra colour achieved by using the multi-colour ‘rainbow roll’, whereby two or more colours are added with one printing.
