India Ritchie
India lives and works in Devon. Completed a BA in Textile Design at Goldsmiths in 2005 specialising in printed textiles, before going on to study for a Masters degree in Printmaking at Camberwell College of Art in 2007.
My work explores notions of order and disorder within artistic practice as well as in everyday life. Accidental marks and unpredictable processes are a recurring element of my practice, and are often combined with notably deliberate and complex printmaking techniques, such as screenprint and linocut, with the aim of building a creative relationship between direct and indirect image making.
