Lynn Bailey

Lynn Bailey’s practice is inspired by bugs, hedgerows, “weeds” and how we and the organisms we live alongside interact and shape the environment. She uses a wide range of printmaking techniques – traditional and innovative, often creating complex one-off prints involving mainly intaglio processes with mono print techniques, using common plants foraged from hedgerows or cultivated for the purpose. Projects include studies of Devon hedgerows; the importance of urban bees; celebration of our most rare farm bird being brought back from the brink of extinction; ongoing observations of local weeds/wild flowers and examining Dartmoor blanket bogs.
