This comprehensive course demonstrates how to print a repeat pattern wallpaper using a stencil cut from paper. You don't need an exposure unit or a studio for this process - although you will need some space!

Lining paper and emulsion paint (with roller/ brush or sponge to apply it to paper)
Hairdryer or small fan heater to speed up drying time
Cutting mat, craft knife and scissors
YUPO paper and tracing paper
Masking tape and parcel tape
Lightbox, lightpad or window for tracing designs
Ruler, pencil, marker pen and glue stick.

Acrylic paint and screenprint medium, thickener and containers for inks

Meet Emma Molony and Esme Cooper
Emma is a printmaker and producer and enjoys managing some of Double Elephant's varied and exciting public engagement and partnership projects that combine printmaking with different artforms.
Esme trained in Textile Design and has worked in the University Art Education sector for a long time. She now heads up the Technical Support sessions on Wednesdays and teaches the Fabric Screen Print workshops. She has a small business designing and printing fabric.
