Workshops with RAMM
Double Elephant were invited to run a series of workshops responding to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum’s major summer 2017 exhibition. Entitled, Sea Life: Glimpses of the Wonderful, it includes a series of “marine life” glass jars which RAMM commissioned internationally-acclaimed artist Steffen Dam to sculpt.
Students from Isca Academy Secondary School in Exeter, The Youth Arts & Health Trust, and two adult groups responded to the Sea Life artworks using Drypoint, Linocut and Monoprint techniques with Double Elephant.
It was an absolutely amazing workshop… It was wonderful to be doing art work outside school in RAMMs beautiful modern space. Jeremy was so good with the students, especially the boys, I felt that he was working with us 100%, he took on board everything we suggested, he was flexible, positive and gave the children a lot of praise. Students loved the activities and got really good outcomes. – I. Sastre, Head of Visual Art, Isca Academy
