Pocket Park

The “Pocket Park” was a project run by Simon Ripley in summer 2016, working with Somerset Artworks and Taunton Academy. Simon ran a printmaking workshop with a group of year 9 students at the school, visiting Blackthorn Park with the students to inspire drawings which they adapted to produce collograph prints.

Working from their prints, the students then created various motifs for their own playground. By the end of the school day they had transformed the tarmac using paints into their own “Pocket Park”.
