Help us Unlock the Power of Printmaking!
Posted on Wednesday 17th October, 2018
Double Elephant works with groups of people normally excluded from mainstream arts activity, both on site on our premises and off-site through our portable workshop facilities.
We know from over 15 years’ experience that printmaking is a powerful tool for well-being and for unlocking all the wonderful things that creativity can inspire in a person.
The power of printmaking has helped dozens of people with their recovery via our well-being project, Print on Prescription. But funding for this work is increasingly difficult to come by. We want to relaunch POP in Devon in 2019 and we are appealing to our members, friends and course goers to help us by making a cash donation to our new fundraiser.
And we have been given the amazing opportunity to raise funds for Print on Prescription and have those funds matched pound for pound!
Arts in Health South West is an organisation which supports and encourages partnerships between arts and health organisations. Their new Catalyst fund will match any funding Double Elephant can achieve.
Double Elephant has been chosen for Catalyst match funding due to the strength of our track record in this work, and the belief that these funds can make a real difference in our hands.
There is a small window for us to take advantage of the Catalyst funding so we are aiming to reach our target by the end of next month. We have already reached nearly half of the £2000 target with activity at Exeter Arts Week and at our Birthday Party in July. Please consider making a donation to our fund to help us unlock a further £2000 towards this important work.
You can make a regular or one-off gift here:
Your donation will be doubled by Arts in Health South West and will help Double Elephant encourage well-being and good mental health throughout our community.
