Open Access to resources & the workshop community.
We are the only workshop in Devon that provides membership and offers open access to our equipment and resources. We offer Full Membership, Friends of Double Elephant or Visiting Membership.
The workshop is open to Full and Visiting Members anytime that there is not a course running. On a monthly basis we produce a calendar of workshop activity so that you will know when the studio is available.
Full and Visiting Membership is for competent printmakers who feel able to pursue individual projects under their own steam. You may have attended one of our courses or you may have trained elsewhere. We provide one day a week technical advice and support and we can always be contacted by telephone- so you need not feel totally left on your own.
Friends of Double Elephant are welcome whether you are a printmaker or not. Friends with some printmaking experience may access the workshop during times that technical support is available - currently Wednesdays only.

£20 per month (minimum 6 months)
£15 induction fee
£50 yearly maintenance fee (equipment)
Friends of Double Elephant
£30 per year
Friends with printmaking experience can have workshop access on technical support days for £20. (£10 for 1/2 day)
Temporary Membership
£15 induction fee
£5 per hour block booked a week in advance.
FULL MEMBERSHIP
Open access to all workshop equipment and facilities during Phoenix opening hours (Mon-Sat: 10am-11pm; Sunday 11am-5pm).
Hours limited by times of courses (refer to calendar on the notice board & website).
Door code
Technical support available one day a week.
Newsletters (quarterly).
Exhibition and project opportunities.
Invitation to all Private Views and other events.
Contact with other printmakers.
Opportunities to get involved in Members' Forum and participation in workshop activities.
10% discount off places on courses (subject to availibility).
10%discount off purchases of artwork from events where Double Elephant takes a commission.
