Exeter Phoenix now handling bookings for Double Elephant Courses and Workshops
We are delighted that our partner organisation, Exeter Phoenix, will be handling course and workshop bookings for Double Elephant from January 2010 onwards. This gives DEPW patrons greater flexibility to make bookings seven days a week using a range of payment methods. Opening hours for personal or telephone bookings are:

SOME OF DOUBLE ELEPHANT PRINT WORKSHOP'S RECENT EVENTS...
Print your own Christmas Card Workshop
On 12th December we invited people of all ages to visit the workshop and have a go at printing their own christmas card. The studio was full of local people, of all ages and abilities, who created festive masterpieces for their loved ones!
We also did a roaring trade selling handprinted christmas cards for sale by our members, course and outreach project participants. DEPW often runs free drop-in events such as this, check out our Special Events page for similar events.
Exeter Open Studios
November's Open Studios was a big success with 250 pieces of work on display from nearly 50 Double Elephant members and course participants. The quality of the work was extremely high, something much commented upon by visitors over the weekend. We had over 300 visitors attending, with 54 pieces of work sold, for a total of over £1200.
On the Saturday of the Open Studios weekend, we ran a Printmaking Drop-In session. This was funded by an Opening Doors award to encourage adults to discover the creative learning opportunities open to them.We offered visitors the chance to screenprint their own cloth shopping bag to take away. Around a third of our visitors took part and had a lot of fun doing so.
DOUBLE ELEPHANT BOX EXHIBITION
Members of Double Elephant are exhibiting 3D prints at Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton (www.thelmahulbert.com). Challenged to use 10 x 15cm boxes, the exhibition showcases a variety of approaches and processes

Double Elephant feature on Kirstie's Homemade Home
In Episode 2 (Thursday 23 April, 8pm on Channel 4) you can see Kirstie visit Double Elephant to talk to Emma about ways of printing your own wallpaper. Kirstie chooses a design of Emma's and learns how to screenprint paper for her bathroom.
